Let The Preacher, Preach
8.20 p.m. Elephant & Castle, South London.
A day we may never see the like of again. The usually busy Elephant & Castle was left to just a handful of commuters, a couple of bored looking policemen and this gentleman preaching the good word.
As my unusually empty bus snaked it's way through south east London, it had become apparent that we have imposed our very own curfew without the need of 16,000 police officers. As we moved through Camberwell, Peckham and New Cross I saw the damage that had been inflicted just hours earlier. I also saw sadly the shellshocked faces of it's residents, who naturally worry for the future.
Here's to tomorrow. Where we shall again try and take back our city and our country.
