Getting nowhere today

I was meant to take the kids to the dentist today, but when I got into town I found out that the police were telling everywhere to close early (dentist is in West London). So instead we went to Tesco to get a few bits, including a bargain bunch of flowers which were reduced to £1.25. We're back home now and I'm currently very glad that I live in a village and not one of the towns near here.

I'm back in work in the morning and my daughter is coming with me to do some of my filing, she has to earn her pocket money somehow. My son will be helping clear out the shed for his pocket money. Before anyone accused me of being sexist with the jobs, they were given a choice.

Both myself and my husband have tomorrow afternoon off of work and so will go out with the kids, but we still haven't decided where. We had considered London, but I think we'll give that a miss for now.
