A mammoth task.

It has to be done, and the first time I've had to do it myself. Utilising week 1 of my 2 weeks leave from work (well, from my job anyway!), armed with a very long extension pole today I've managed to paint most of the side wall of my cottage. The highest area of about 5' (under the chimney) needs a ladder, even using the pole. So my dear pal Bevosity has forbidden me to do that area without her footing the ladder, and kindly offered to come over one weekend after BirdFair for this. It's just possible to make out the (very wavy) dividing line where the new paint starts and the old, grubbier paint is above it. By this evening I hope to have also done the front which is only about 1/3 of the area, with much taken up by the windows! Better get going then .... I can hear the paint roller calling me ..... then after dinner some wine, I think I deserve it!
