Welcome Home!

Arrived back this morning from Australia, we are back in the UK for 24 hrs before flying to Armenia. Just before boarding the plane at Sydney, I got a few txts from friends back home telling me that there were mass riots in London.

At first I thought that it was something over nothing! Imagine my horror as we landed in Abu Dhabi to find the seriousness of the "Riots" back home. As we landed at Heathrow this morning, we were met by friends who said that the Riots had spread all over London and had reached Ealing, where we live.

Yobs on the streets, houses and cars set alight, shops looted and smashed! I am totally in shock that these people who are doing this vile act are actually destroying their OWN communities.

Today, 16,000 police are on the streets, we have armoured vehicles and riot police patrolling the streets of Ealing as well as parts of London. As I write this there are reports of gangs of looters gathering in other areas near to us. My friends are too scared to leave their homes. I feel I have come back to a different country in the space of a few weeks of being away!

The biggest Police investigation since the 7/7 Bombings, I am angry, sad and in despair for My home city ... Welcome Home Lel ;-( xx
