Helter-skelter

The patient's prognosis.

Conversation at 4.30am this morning following another almost-sleepless night...

Mummy: How are you feeling now?

Patient: I'm a teeny bit better. Yesterday I felt really, really, really, really sick but today I only feel really, really, really sick. Tomorrow I'll probably just feel really, really sick then the day after tomorrow I think I'll be a lot better and only feel really sick. I'm sure that by (um, Mummy, what's the day after the day after tomorrow?) I'll be almost all better and just feel sick but I should be OK after that.

Thank you for all your good wishes for him yesterday. He can hardly stand up, can't straighten his neck, went back to bed for four hours this morning, has virtually no appetite, still has a temperature of 102 degrees and his face is swollen like a balloon but I suppose that at least the fact his mouth still works as normal is a good sign!

Sorry, had to delete my first attempt (and your lovely comments so far) as none of my formatting would show no matter what I did! Worked it out now - it doesn't like those square brackets!!!
