A little off-colour.

Well, a lot off-colour, actually.

My little boy woke up crying last night with what the doctor said could be mumps but was more likely a severe case of tonsillitis. More 'mumps' symptoms have since appeared so I'm convinced that's what it is. I'm sure it's not dangerous but it's still awful, he's so poorly. Apparently mumps and tonsillitis look pretty similar and you can still get mumps even if you've had all the right vaccinations.

Whichever it is, there's not a lot you can do about either, though, except receive regular doses of penicillin, paracetamol and cuddles.
