Gordon And His Granite Chin
As I write this, mindless idiots are destroying their own communities across London and anything I post or write seems pretty trivial and pointless in comparison. Got a few friends who live in the areas where the riots have broken out.
Anyway, in other more trivial news, I met the former World Champion boxer, Ricky Hatton yesterday. I was a former amateur boxer, many moons ago and not a very good one at that. Ricky happily posed for a picture and signed an autograph for a friend of mine. A few of his friends joked that I was brave for making a fist whilst posing for the photo (isn't it standard practice when you pose with a boxer :) A colleague took the pic and I think he must have been nervous as it was very shaky and blurry, otherwise it would've been the backblip for yesterday!
So a tedious link to today's blip is the 'granite chin' that all boxers want to have on this chap. Since it was taken in Glasgow's Gordon Street, let's call him...er....Gordon.
Took it when I was out for a walk after lunch and showed it to a few colleagues when I got back to the office. My pal Lorna told me it looked familiar....and then we noticed that Gordon and a few of his other pals and the rest of the building are actually hanging on our office wall, along with a few other photographs of Glasgow architecture. I'd never noticed him before.
Stay safe Londoners.
