Trickle and Thrum

stinkhorn

It won't surprise you to learn that the common stinkhorn's latin name is phallus impudicus. Certainly looked impudent to me.

We took a walk about the forest at Finlaystone searching for fungi today. We founds loads there last October but August is still too early in the year for most species.

But not for stinkhorn. The english name is also apt. This fella stinks.
