Perfect passion

I so much love the intricacy of the Passiflora - although the more traditional and most common variety this is by far my favourite. The combination of shapes, textures and colours in each individual flower astonishes me.
I think they're really beautiful. At the holiday camp where my dad worked for many years there was a massive one of these which covered the entire side of the dining room below the windows, must've been planted when the camp was originally built in the '50s. Every year it was covered in a mass of blooms, followed by a huge crop of fruits. Heartbreaking to think that when the camp was demolished in the late '80s, that Passiflora was destroyed :-((
