What a difference a year makes
It's one year to the day since we moved to Brussels/Bruxelles/Brussel. I can't say it's always been easy as we arrived with a three year old and a three month old baby without knowing a soul, without speaking the language and without any of our belongings.
However, once our shipping arrived and we settled into our new home and lives, I think it's fair to say that we've had a successful happy year and we look forward to many more in Brussels. I only wish I'd started blipping earlier (yes, I know you told me to David!).
This afternoon we visited Bruxelles les Bains (Brussels beach) which is located along the canal. For one month they transform the area into a seaside resort with beaches, bars, music, activities for the kids etc. It was quite interesting but it was a bit funny watching people sunbathing in their bikinis on a man-made beach on a bit of concrete by the canal!
Chickenpox update: O is itching like mad as her chickenpox has started to scab over (nice) and this evening we realised that D has it, but not half as bad as O...yet. The kids are going to look lovely at a wedding we are going to on Saturday!
