Flagrant disregard for the rules
Whilst the President of the Conjunto (see here to get some context) has his family visiting, he seems to behaving with some civility towards other members of the community and he, and his terrifying wife, are not barking at the residents about rules and observation of the non-existent siesta rule from 2 till 4. It's so lovely in fact that we have only seen him once in 3 days. Long may it continue.
There are a number of rules for being part of this community. Mostly these are sensible and are for the health, safety and general regard for each other. Showering before getting in the pool, keeping the noise down after midnight, not taking glasses by the pool. Sensible.
Other things need signs for them that state the bleeding obvious or are just ridiculous. Don't sit on the chains.
Well, unless you are the height of a two year old and have the knees of someone under 20, sitting on the chains is impossible anyway. None of the residents would do so and if any visitors are stupid enough to attempt it, then they are welcome to try, fall in the gravel and get prickled by cacti.
So, I figure I have a potential series over the next couple of weeks.
We'll see how long it takes to have a sign that says "No photography of little people".
I had an argument with a pushbike today. The pushbike won - I now have lovely big red graze and a purple bruise on the side of my leg. That's attractive. That will also teach me to ride into the village for lunch with my husband. No alcohol was involved, just sheer clumsiness. Dur!
