First of all the fridge/freezer suddenly failed. And the weather is hot.

So I contacted what must be the most efficient supply company I've come across. Not their fault it has to be said that the manufacturer's dimensions are slightly out! Plan 1 was to remove the lino underneath, maybe the feet, and at worst take a shave off the floorboards. Tidy Tim our best ever handyperson is away looking after mum. But in any event, the trump card was to discover a manufacturer's instruction that there should be a 10cm clearance between the machine and the unit above. Well that's not going to happen, is it? 10cm may seem excessive, but there is no point in ignoring the legal stuff.

So a different model is on its way, and this one will be spirited off.
