Mundane Midgie Monday

One of those days when nothing seems to be happening.Busy bee about the house getting on with boring , but necessary , household tasks ; the usual walks with Oscar then relaxing about the house.

One of those midgie days outside but had to get out so on with the self defence spray against the Argyll Mighty Monster Midge. They were inquisitive , swarmed around me but did not penetrate the defence system .

Found some insects on the lupins and got quite excited . How sad is that ? Got shots of grasshoppers , a soldier beetle and a tiny yellow sort of fly with lovely wings whose ID I don't know. This strange insect was going to be my blip but I had to agree with John that the cheeky looking soldier beetle with his tongue sticking out , just had to have his moment of fame on the net. Hope you like him too.

Just had a thought , think he might have been busy and that is a self satisfied , eaxhausted expression.
