Meet Pup #1: Marlin

Here's a great shot of one of our two dogs, Marlin, that captures a bit of his personality. He's a siberian husky mixed with great dane (we think) and the best shelter dog I've ever come across. He is vocal much like a husky and has husky physical traits--one blue eye, curly tail, water repellent fur...but he's lazy like a great dane and thinks he's smaller than he actually is (also like a great dane).

He is the sweetest pup when he wants to be and a devil of a dog at times that always leaves us with a good laugh (like when he decided he wanted to be a cattle herder by slipping through a barbed wire fence and ran amuck with the cows or when he dug himself a hole under a fence in the backyard as an escape plan--all 90 pounds made it to the other side!). Yup, he's one hell of a dog.

I could go on and on, but I'll leave that for the plenty of other blips that I'm sure will be taken of him.
