Bird of Prey
Maybe Mr Longshanks will tell me what kind of falcon this is.
Got a surprise free pass to the Hopetoun House Horse Trials yesterday, so although feeling pretty tired after a long (but enjoyable) day at the Rewind Festival yesterday, was really keen to go.
It was the first time that the trails had been held here but what a fantastic place. The stalls were good, food too and as today was the cross-country part of the trials, got to see some really first class horses and riders. Now I can't remember who won but I heard them say William Fox-Pitt was 3rd (Miss Buttercup will have heard of him I am sure). Even Braegha got to join in. There was terrier racing in the main ring (they chase a decoy thingy) and then they asked if any dog would like to take part. Breagha woofed "me" so I took her over, the lady held her and I ran to the bottom of the ring. Oh she ran all right, she overtook the decoy, totally fixated on me, yelping all the time!!
Must mention the horseboxes. They were like palaces, probably cleaner than my house. That was an indication of just what top notch horsey people were there!
I did take horses jumping but I liked this picture of the . . . . . .. . falcon. Isn't it truly beautiful?
Just had a text from Gillian - she is RAGING that I put her picture on from the festival yesterday (have a look). Says she looks like a Harry Potter Witch!! Hee Hee
