Grocery Love

I LOVE grocery stores! Probably goes back to when I was a kid and I always got to go grocery shopping with my mom. She'd clip coupons every Wednesday and then on Friday we'd go to at LEAST 4 supermarkets shopping for the best deals. Then she'd put $1.00 of gas into the DeSoto to get her through the week! And don't forget the carton of cigarettes! All that plus enough food for a family of SIX on $100 a week. Those were the pre-Costco days, I tell ya. I'm SO glad my darling husband likes to grocery shop, too. We go every Saturday morning and this yummy display was at our local supermarket (one of 2 in our community). Free samples of organic cantaloupe & oranges and large samples of strawberry shortcake including the whipped cream. They had a grill going out front but we were too early for the local beef sampling.
