Inchcolm Island
We had a visit to Inchcolm Island today in the Firth of Forth. It is most famous for its abbey which is still in pretty good condition today. It was founded by King David I after the wishes of his brother Alexander I who died before he could build the abbey on the island where a hermit had shared his food and given him shelter after being blown off course and ended up stuck on the island for three days.
It was a lovely day as you can see which is why this yacht took over from a photograph of the abbey!
