Streets of Frankfurt
Took the chance to go to Frankfurt for the day. Unfortunately there wasn't enough time to meet everyone who I wanted to catch up with again.
Just before meeting up with a friend for lunch I walked around the main station district which is known for it's multi-cultural atmosphere (besides other things) with a lot of small asian, turkish, indian ... you-name-it restaurants and shops. I was on the search for Tahin sauce when I noticed this shopping cart being piled up with fresh meat to then be cart into one of the shops. They even had half a calf on there! Then another guy followed with a second shopping cart. One of them noticed my camera and asked whether I wanted to take a photo. And although I am not a vegetarian I was kinda put off by all this fresh red meat and fascinated by it at the same time. I did decline though as even though it would've made an interesting blip, I wasn't quite sure whether I would have offended anyone.
Once R and his colleague were finished we headed back to Dresden stopping at R aunt's house on the way to drop him off. I felt completely drained and tired when I arrived back home that I literally fell into bed feeling pretty sick for some reason. Nt sure whether it's some nasty flue or just mere exhaustion. Hope to be able to relax some on the weekend!
