Cake Pops

The day started with a visit from the lovely Baking Bird aka Selena. I have been following her on here since last year but despite living almost within shouting distance, this is the first time we have met! She is setting up a cake business - The Baking Bird - and had some spare cake pops to test on some willing volunteers! If the rest of her cakes are as good as the cake pops, she has won us over!

The rest of the day was very leisurely - it was cloudy but warm so quite humid - and my beachmate is away so we pottered about at home. Until tea time. Our neighbours "invited" us to join them for an hour at Castle Beach. We grabbed the last 4 cake pops, collected fish and chips and enjoyed the last of the sunshine.

Next door have a sea kayak. We have been discussing getting one for a year now. I suspect Ben may have been won over this evening. I foresee a trip to Macsalvors in the none too distant future...
