Farmers' Market, Jianshui

The local Yunnan farmers come into town every day with produce fresh from their fields. There are all sorts of things, but notably many more varieties of vegetable than you will ever find in Europe. My two favourite we are getting at the moment are melon greens and a kind of onion stalk cooked with the flower still in bud. Both are lightly cooked with lots of garlic and hot peppers - delicious!
