Biking Again

Today was the 25th or 26th or 80th day of 100+ temperatures. I have sort of lost count. I am so tired of the heat. But today was a wonderful day. I actually rode my road bike 15.5 miles. First time in a month that I was on it. Tires were a little low. So I gladly pumped them up. A friend borrowed my bike while I was recovering so I had to adjust the seat. Nice leather, Brooks saddle. I would like to be a vegan, but I love cheese and I love my leather Brooks saddle. So I guess I will stay just a vegetarian.

We rode to the Chat Room to meet up with the rest of the Night Riders Pho Ride. I am the supper senior citizen. All but one or two are young enough to be my kids. We went from the Chat Room to Pho 95, a Vietnamese restaurant. Service was slow, but who cares when you are conversing with friends. Thirty people all talking loud. Laughing a lot. Eating good food. Riding bikes there and back. Waiting for slow riders or on flat tires. Friends are important. I thank God for my health and my friends.
