A Day At The Beach....

Well I DID warn the kids they would be sick of me by the end of the holidays...
Made the older kids stay home this morning as i wanted to spend the day at the beach with them. All was going fine until a gang of Dylans friends were starting to leave. Offers of Dylan going home with themfrom friends mums were very firmly rejected by by me.. I was mocked by Donna - along the lines of; YOU WILL HAVE FUN EVEN IF YOU DONT WANT TO DYLAN>>>>
Dylan began a Sulk.. nothing was good enough, everything was boring. Sister Samantha stepped in trying to cheer him up-which of course made worse... told everyone to leave him for a few minutes. ignored him totally for about 5 mins.
I then picked up the crab net and a bucket, forced a very unwilling and sulky Dylan to come with me and we proceeded round the corner from everyone else... As soon as he realised it was just us he cheered up ;)....Smashed a Limpet from a rock as bait and got its blood splashed on my face-never let it be said im not an entertaining Mother!!!
not even a looksie from a fish or crab but feel very pleased to have not given in and made him stay...
