Intruder

The signs were obvious. Most of the leaves were gone from one of our tomato plants. It took a bit of hunting but we found this guy hiding under some leaves. A pretty healthy Tomato Horn Worm, larva of a Sphinx Moth. It's been a long time since I've seen one of these. It's actually very cool looking, just not on the plants. The kids are keeping it in a can for now and trying to feed it clippings from some of the tomato plants. I don't think it's going to last too long in captivity. For now, his name is Waldo. ;)
