White Sabbath
Up early but decided to make breakfast, pack lunches and evening meal rather than going for an early morning hill walk. I was tired anyway.
The family got up late and then we headed south to some beaches. In the 'I thought you got it moment' we realised the pack lunch and dog lead were left behind. Being a Sunday nothing open but we could improvise a lead.
First stop Reef , stunning absolutely beautiful. We walked the whole length, Juno running about mad. At the end Eco son started climbing on the shore crags and I went for a skinny dip as it was quite quiet.
The family laughed and I had to have a discussion with eco daughter on the effects of cold water.
Then off to Uig beach, stunning. Eco son and I headed up a hill to get stunning seaward views. St kilda a blue shadow and the Flannans with better detail.
Back home and hunger satisfied with pack lunches and evening meal.
Another evening walk to some closer shores. A big surf stunning cliffs and great scrambling, Eco son is much better than me on rock and we had great fun. At one stage stripping off to wade round.
The light was great as we watched surfers catching the swell.
What a brill family day and it was the sabbath too.
