private joke #27
Hairdressers in this neck of the woods often have interesting names, often involving tear inducing puns with a reference to hair (pronounced air, the French do not really do the 'h' sound that well). When we lived in France we organised a party once, the theme, given that we were living in a flat formerly used as a hairdressers, was naturally enough 'hair related'. We called our 'salon' Pellicul'hair. That evening, everyone had to come adequately coiffed up and we had a prize for the best hairdo.
So having seen 'Infitif', 'Creatif' (les tifs is another word for hair) and more recently 'Hair du Temps', I did like this regional variation, based on the region where we are staying, Finistere. The magic of hindsight means that in several days time we will meet friends who told us about another modern classic, Coiffé Creme.
Erm, well you had to be there, I suppose.
