I have been out and about a bit today - along with every other resident of Oslo it seems - and there are a few photos of the aftermath and the reactions here.
As I walked around, I have never seen so many cameras in the hands of non-tourists. I suppose something like this makes your own city alien to you and it becomes necessary to behave like a tourist again to come to terms with it.
Which is why I was particularly taken with this woman sitting on the steps of St Olav's under a much needed umbrella, looking down Akersgata towards the government buildings, seeing over the tops of the soldiers and the snappers, and sketching. That was her way of coming to terms with the new shape her city and her world had taken.
