Ending the week

I'm glad the weekend is nigh. I have been busy but didn't manage to achieve as much as I wanted. There seemed to be too many diversions cropping up followed by distractions.

After I ate my supper, the rain stopped and the sky cleared in the west for the sunset. Water was dripping off leaves and flowers. The birds were quiet; it seemed they had gone to bed early.

I walked up the footpath to a higher point to try and see the sky more clearly but couldn't find the right spot. I went up the cemetery a short way and rushed to get the colours in the sky, which were fading fast.

Then I rushed off to the station to pick Helena up from the London train. She is off again tomorrow morning to west Wales, so I'm hoping another Barabrith from Jens Pantry might return with her next week. I'm off to a party in Glastonbury, which will be extending to another venue on the Somerset Levels for Sunday lunch. Lots of old friends to see.
