Baby coots

The wildlife on the river Thames is very impressive- it seemed to be heaving with all sorts of species- Moorhens, coots, Grebes, swans, Egyptian geese. These little chicks were part of a seven strong family which were nesting just outside my cousin's house.
Back up to Manchester today - dropped son number 2 off at Maidenhead station, lunched with son number 1 in Leamington, then back up the M6. My brother had gone on to London to do the post production work for Tchaikovsky so we jus collapsed in his place, ate beans on toast and watched The Hour - looks promising.
