Felice compleanno, Giorgio!
On the morning of the wee man's sixth birthday, we're all awake before him - which feels very odd. He's got a few easy-to-carry presents - Lego kits and cool Roman soldiers - with which he's delighted, as well as this improvised watermelon "cake" with obligatory 6 candles.
At George's request, in Sorrento we take a horse-and-carriage trip to the small harbour, where we have an excellent meal.
Afterwards, we have a wander about before catching the bus home. The lads are so taken with the harbour cats, George offers to take the place of one of the kittens so we can adopt it.
As I point out to Mo, of the three boys it strikes me that he'd fare best if left to fend for himself down at the harbour; I instinctively feel he'd do OK. And yes, I know that's an odd thing to think about a six-year-old.
