Sports Day!

Today was our school sports day. Well, sports morning anyway, followed by a family picnic lunch and then Open Afternoon. Having children in both Infants and Juniors now, I got to really appreciate the contrasts between them for the first time.

With the Juniors, competition was fierce, with much chanting and cheering from the kids as each coloured 'house' vied against each other to get the most points and be the champions.

The Infants had a bit more emphasis on having fun than winning. There was still a healthy sense of competition, though, with the first three children in every race getting a '1st', '2nd' or '3rd' sticker. The rest got these, which say it all, really!
