The garden needs it.

After more than a week of superb weather, while others, especially at T in the Park and in Edinburgh were suffering thunder, lightning and torrential rain, the rain arrived on schedule at lunch time today and we are promised some mixed weather into next week.

I'd like to tell you I donned wellies and waterproof and dashed outside to work with the newly dampened soil. Sadly, as a fair-weather gardener who also understands the way of the midge, I just looked out of the window at my dripping Handel rose! Still gorgeous.
