Royal Rose

A rose from the Queen Anne garden at Stirling Castle.

(complete with greenfly or some such beastie. Seems that even Royal roses are not immune from visits by insects of various sorts. I'm not a gardener so don't know if the idea is for roses to be free from these insects. I suspect the idea is to keep them away from the roses so the grounds-people might have some work to do. Presumably Queen Elizabeth II did not inspect the garden too closely last week when she visited. May do some more blips from the garden whilst it is in the peak of its season.)
