O is For-

OUT- last night at the Spoon blip meet with eight blippers (at the time I left).
While the men talked shop at one end of the tables, we ladies indulged in much merriment and raucous laughter at the other end as we discussed medical tissues, which could have put Marchmont and Dotty off their curries, but didn't fortunately.

Troosers was there as a substitute Blue Peter presenter with his light box made from a crunchy nut cereal box and sticky backed plastic. I for one was lost in admiration and in the manufacturing detail.

OUT - his Lordship today, gone to the hills near Biggar for his weekly off the leash dose of freedom and wearing his Wednesday smile for all to see.

ORTHOPAEDIST- daughter #2 who got in first .
She is down with her family from Rannoch, and having ditched left them for the day at a summer camp, came with my son-in law for a coffee and a sit in the sun on the patio. While we chatted we also -

OBSERVED- the daily comings and goings in the Meadows.
The early sun worshipers: cyclists passing by with both hands on the handlebars- quite a rare occurrence as there has been a recent fad for the 'look no hands' brigade to sweep past; joggers trundling round, and round and round while we counted and sipped: banks of nursery nannies marching with triple seated pushchairs along the paths giving their charges a breath of fresh air: dogs catching frisbees and youths catching frisbees.
All very fascinating to people who are used to the isolation of a house on the edge of Rannoch Moor.

OUTRÉ - a lovely word which means behaviour or looks, a little on the extravagant or unusual aspect .
There is a certain caché in being a tad outré in dress, as that marks you out from the common herd; but one wouldn't necessarily want the word to describe your behaviour lest you were considered rather odd.

Thus to see oriental female holiday makers next door sporting white face masks and performing extra slow arm waving exercises which his Lordship took as a friendly greeting to which he responded with a wave of his own, but which I took to be a cop out for an hour of sweaty endeavour in the gym, that I would consider a little outré in this Scottish environment.

ON- ITV4 to hear the latest in the Tour De France while I multitask in the background. There's always a hope that I might espy SooB somewhere amongst the spectators.
