Cheeky Spence!
I went straight from work this morning to Traralgon for another day of renovating! Kaz dropped Spence off at daycare then called into Bunnings then met me there. I got straight into painting the top coat on all the doors. It took me most of the day but I finished all I could do today! We still have one more coat for the bathroom door and one coat on one side of the toilet door!
Kaz painted the fireplace and the bathroom and primed the kitchen cabinets. We had a friend, Darren, who is a carpet layer come over tonight after work to look at the house because he is going to lay the carpet. While he was there he was giving Kaz tips on laying the floating floor boards, which we were going to do ourselves. Darren was saying that the trickiest bits are putting in underneath the door jams because you have to cut the bottom of the jams with a special saw and it all sounded quite hard and time consuming so Darren is going to lay them for us as well!! I am very happy about that! We could do it but by the time we mess about with it for a week, Darren could have laid it in a day!
We are now at the point where we just it to be finished so we can have our relaxing month away in our holiday house! There isn't too much more to be done, the carpet, floor boards, paint the kitchen cabinets, paint the front and back doors, touch up other bits of paint, paint the chimney, fix the side gate (which Dad is hopefully doing), make some garden beds (which a guy is doing for us), flatten out and clean up the back garden (which the fence guy is doing with his little digger when he comes back to finish off the fence), Steve has to finish off the bathroom and toilet then we can put up the towel rails and toilet roll holder.
Golly, that sounds like a lot, but most of it other people are doing!!
I picked up Spence from daycare then we came home, had tea, played around for a bit and now he is bed! I asked Spence to come over to me before so I could take a photo of his eyeball! He came over and squinched up his face so that he could just see out of his eyes, which he thought was hilarious, so I took of photo of him doing that then got this one of him laughing!! He is very funny!!
