It's a Boy!

For B's baby shower, I thought it'd be festive to play with the frosting a bit and make them look like those baby knit skullcaps newborns wear in their first "mugshot".....The operative word here being "thought", and as we all know I'm more of a thinker and not so much a doer. :P BUT I find that if you tilt your head to the side and look at it from a 45 degree angle about 2 feet away, it somewhat passes as a baby knit skullcap and not so much the pearl-ornamented blue Christmas tree or polka-dotted Pacman it resembles when looking straight on. (Personally, I thought it looked more like polka-dotted Pacman than Christmas trees!).

From left to right: Brown Velvet cupcakes, Lemon Citrus cupcakes, and the notorious Salted Caramel cupcakes. If I had known then what I know now about the popularity of the Salted Caramel cupcakes, I might not have ever decided to put my salty feelings to use in the kitchen....Well, let's face it. I probably still would have. These salty treats really are addicting!

It was a great party at the perfect location with a gorgeous view to enjoy the sun. Congratulations to B and Baby T! :)
