KINGFISHER (Kotare)

Another nice day! on the East Coast of the South Island ( Christchurch ) - crabby on the west side - we are in the lee side of the Mountain range which gives us the warm winds/firn? effect!

This encouraged me to make hay while the sun shone! (so to speak)

So up with the hide and away. In search of the perfect Kingfisher shot.
I'm not sure if we ever get it perfectly right - but I liked this one. I did have a pretty good one with a crab in its mouth but then the eye wasnt with a highlight so I went for this one?

I can just hear my learned judge saying " but its not doing anything "
Yea but I like it!
