Little Man

In his little hospital gown.

Sam had a small cyst on his earlobe removed, under anaesthetic. No one thought to ask what we do for a living, therefore generating quite a few "wow, you're so relaxed" comments, not to mention the odd raised eyebrow when we joked that we were looking forward to having a cup of coffee together in peace......

Best moment of the day went to Sam though. Pre-op, we were keeping him occupied, going through a farm yard set. I pulled out a small model. "Now, Sam", said I. "This is a turkey. It's a kind of bird. I don't think you've ever seen one before". "Yes", said his father, taking over, "and do you know what noise a turkey makes?".

I sat there, quite clueless, waiting with baited breath to see what G came out with.
