St Colm Cille

AKA St Columba.

When we go on holiday somewhere my husband and I like to buy a "thing" of some kind as a souvenir. Mainly they tend to be gargoyles or saints. This is the one we got from Lewis. I might do a few of the others sometime although I am unsure as to whether to blip the Sheila na Gig. It is, how can I put it. A bit "earthy".

Here Columba is shown with some of his favourite things, some books, a cross, a boat, an oak tree and a Crane. Apparently he was keen on Cranes-I never knew this. They'd fly from Ireland to Iona apparently-a bit like Columba himself.
