Seattle to Walla Walla
Off to a week of no plans. We had a loose plan of what states we wanted to visit, but that was about it. The car was packed with some clothes, camping gear, food and snacks and a cooler. No reservations were made at any hotel or campsite. Nice not to have any itinerary.
Dropped Willy off at his old owner's place - hate that we're leaving him for a week, but we know he'll have a great time.
We stopped off in Black Diamond to get some bakery treats and got some super tasty beef jerky and pepperoni sticks at the butcher.
Gorgeous views of Mt. Rainier. Here's another close up. Drove along the 410 to Tieton. Not much to see, but this was a nice view.
We stopped off in Sunnyside WA for lunch at Snipe's Mountain Brewery.
We finally arrived in Walla Walla around 5pm, checked into the Budget Inn, hung out by the pool for a bit and then off to find some dinner.
We had a quick drink at Sapolil Cellars, but curiously they only had one white and I wasn't digging it. Too sweet for my taste. So we shared an IPA, then off to find some dinner. Not a lot going on in Walla Walla. We wandered the town for a decent bite to eat, then finally stumbled upon Saffron Mediterranean Kitchen. Tasty dinner and then we were off to bed.
