What A Day.......

I headed out to the garage early to do some woodturning - and couldn't find 4 small screws required to hold the jaws on the lathe.

So....... B&Q - no joy. Screwfix - no joy. Independant tool supplier - no joy.

Over to Falkirk to a tool supplier - joy (8 screws £1)

Home ..... Bugger - the heads were slightly to big for the recess.

Up to Dunkeld ...... Success - but the bank balance took a dent because I ended up buying a load of wood and some more jaws for the lathe.

Driving up to Dunkeld I almost felt sorry for the idiots people attending "T In The Park" as the clouds rolled in and the heavens opened.

However, despite the monsoon we passed through it was lovely when we stopped at the woodshop so I was able to pause and snap the hand by the door.

On the way home we stopped off for a superb ice-cream at a dairy farm near Bankfoot - were we also got some delicious looking home made raspery jam and some lime & chilli puree to go with cheese ........... yummy.

So despite not getting any woodturning done it was quite a nice day
