Royalty

If only I'd known I was related to royalty!

Eldest was William the Conqueror in his class assembly today. It was one of the best I've been to so far (I'm open to them surpassing this so I'm saying so far)

They packed it all into 30 minutes (if only I could conquer the video setting on my EOS - grr) and packing into it:

- A re-enactment of a castle being stormed (with mimed weapons)
- The Normans demonstrating a shield wall (they were only cardboard weapons)
- The 'Willington' tapestry - that told the story of their trip to see a real castle - started with 'turning left at KFC' and ending with 'falling asleep on the coach'

and (making no apologies for a boasting proud mummy moment)

- William the Conqueror giving strategic war advice 'or you end up with a human kebab!'
