Edinburgh Castle

Edinburgh International Festival is drawing near ...the city will be soon be a major tourist destination. I am hoping to shoot some of those festivities in the coming weeks.

A last chance then, for us residents to enjoy the city before it starts to bustle with visitors. So I went up to see what Princes Street looks like now. The castle looming high above the city, seemed like a good subject, even with the overcast skies.

The Castle - a prominent landmark of the city - will host the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, a ceremonial display of military bands from around the world.

I tried a few pics, liked a few viewpoints, I'd like to revisit (like this one). But this shot seemed to be the most presentable for today (large version)
