THINGS TO DO BEFORE I DIE
This blip is entitled 'Things to do before I die'. But actually there isn't really anything that I'm desperate to do before I die.
The only thing I really want to do before I die is make sure that my dog is looked after properly. I don't want her to go into a rescue centre. I want her to be in a home where she is loved and where she will be happy. In my 'WILL' my sister has been designated to look after her, but I wrote my 'WILL' before my sister got her own dog. I'm not really too worried about it. I know that if my sister doesn't feel able to look after her she will make sure she will go to a really good home. That's all I ask for - but she must not go into a rescue centre.
Other things I want to do before I die - well to be honest I haven't a clue.
There isn't really anything. I love my life as it is now so if I died tomorrow I would be happy with what I've achieved, what I've done and what I've experienced.
I'm not one of these people who needs to swim with dolphins, go to Disney World, live in a big house, drive a flash car, etc, etc.
However, that doesn't mean to say that I want to die now. I'm far too young to die.
What I would like to do though, is carry on enjoying my life the way I'm doing now.
If I can't though does it really matter? If I die does it matter? After all if I'm dead I won't have a clue what's going on. So, really, I should just stop worrying about it and get on with my life.
This is MY life and I guess I should enjoy it for as long as I've got it.
I sure I'll have it for a lot, lot longer. I hope I've got it for a lot, lot longer.
And if I don't - well, I'd like my funeral to be a non religious service, I'd like it to be a celebration of my life, I don't want a dreary solemn affair and I want everyone to have fun. I want my dog to be there because she is the most loyal little pet that anyone could ever wish for. The two songs I want played are, 'I Will Survive' & 'Macho Man'. And I want everyone to sing along to them. And afterwards I want everyone to party into the wee small hours. Lots of alcohol, a disco, karaoke, etc, etc.
In the 1990s my 'catchphrase' was - 'People to meet, places to go, things to do'.
As far as I'm concerned; nothing's changed!
