Thistle
I'm not quite sure why I like this image of a thistle taken on a walk at lunchtime. Perhaps it is the combination of textures or the way that the pink strands seem to be exploding from the head of the thistle.
There were lots of fast moving butterflies around in the hedgerows. Didn't have much time to stalk them or the lovely green dragon fly that was patrolling one of the sections of the lanes. My alternative blip was yet more mating insects, so consider yourselves lucky! I was just pleased to be out in the fresh air and working my weary legs (after running, walking and body pump at the weekend).
Busy day as usual. Lots of changes afoot. Still picking up a few problems from the change to our new website. Tomorrow we have a lunch with our outgoing CEO - we will be sad to see him go. He did bring exceptionally beautiful and yummy cupcakes today (made by one of his daughters). I'm hoping there might just be enough left for coffee time tomorrow.
