Are you looking at me?

Just another normal day in the office, emails, meetings, the future of e-learning,the future of higher education as we know it etc, etc, so no surprises there.

When I got off the bus in Leith and rounded the corner I came face to face with this guy, a lesser black-backed gull (I thought the name was ironic until I saw a greater b-b gull). Unusually, he didn't fly off but started coming towards me; I think he was anxious that I might steal that delicious morsel of...dried leaf that he was eyeing up. Once I'd taken his photo he went back to admiring his reflection in the car roof and picking at his toe nails.
