An idyllic Sunday

This is a photo of my Mum. She's a happy lady at the moment as she has her daughter (me) and her grandchildren (Olivia and Dexter) visiting. I know it breaks her (and my Dad's) heart when we leave, but she has managed to deal with this remarkably well recently.

It helps immensley that we now only live in Belgium rather than the Middle- East. It's difficult for me also, as it's no reflection on them or the UK, the reason why we live abroad. I miss my family and friends terribly but we are fortunate enough to have such brilliant family and friends that they all visit us as often as they can.

We had one of those lovely sunny Sundays that can so easily be taken for granted. My Dad took Olivia off to his allotment this morning to pick some veg for our tea and to feed some hens, which she loved. Mum, Dex and I went to the shops to buy some Birthday pressies for Olivia's real birthday and then we spent the afternoon playing in the garden. I even managed to grab an afternoon nap while the doting grandparents looked after the children.
