Memories

Today was not only my 12th Wedding anniversary, but also my fathers 69th Birthday.

Its been an up and down kind of day - UPS - I got a lie in as hubby took the boys swimming, it was a gorgeous summers day, hubby bought me lovely new satin jim-jams, we had gorgeous crusty bread bacon sarnies, we went over to see my dad, tiddler wrote his name really neatly and wrote 'grandad' with a little prompting, we had a thai takeaway with candles and champagne - DOWNS - a little hungover this morning, eldest has scratched his name in the wooden TV cabinet, lots of eldest tantrums for being punished

When we went to my parents to deliver his card and pressie and they had obviously been in the loft - I loved this Fisher Price record player as a kid - Camptown Races, Claire de Lune are two tunes that jump out - tiddler also enjoyed playing with it today and was trying to smuggle it out of the house. They also had a fisher price portable desk and a boots jigsaw clock that we both well loved. Some toys are just classics no matter how old you are.
