Who'd a thunk it...
Last spring I planed some seeds - tiny they were. By the end of the summer they were short squat plants, with a few spines. This spring they started to grow upwards.
Just into July, these things are taller than I am now. Amazing really.
Oh, in case you're wondering, they're Teasels - planted mostly because the seeds are a good winter food source for some types of finch.
