Flying High

Its a long celebration weekend! The 4th of July is always filled with festivals, parades, and fireworks.

This morning I went down to the Eyes to the Skies Balloon Festival for the launch at 6am. It was such fun to watch! The launch happens fast...from the moment they start to inflate until they are all flying away is less than 30 minutes. Luckily they allowed photographers inside the fenced launch area.
We were able to get close and really capture the beautiful colors.

The weather was perfect. Its warm and a bit too humid, but the wind was headed in the right direction. Yesterday the wind was too strong so they didnt take off.

Tomorrow I'm headed down south to scout the farmland for interesting rural architecture. Tuesday the whole family is going to the zoo. I'm hoping the animals come out!
