Work hard and get lucky
Today the community at Luvuwu school got rewarded for their hard work over the past weeks: the representative for Mary's Meals visited and was suitably impressed. We carried the story earlier about this amazingly successful service that gives students at primary schools in Malawi one porridge meal per day FREE.

John,
Today I brought Mr Nkhata (Mary's Meals man) to Luvuwu. We had a meeting with the School Commettee on having porridge at Luvuwu Primary School.
It was a nice meeting, He explained how Mary's Meals started and explained the problems that are found in many schools, like some women not turning up to cook porridge. He will propose that the school should be suppleid as soon as he can.
They provide everything, but the school should have a stores for the porridge.
He was very impressed with Mary Coyne's determination to have the porridge at the school and was very surprised at how fast the new school block was constructed.
He promised to work with us anytime we want him on school issues, he has been in the Ministry of Education for many years.
Regards to all,
Harisen.
